Leech lake report Today

    Fished Leech today water was 58 worked alot of spots best bite was 6ft to 8ft with a Northland Vegas jig green or gold 1/8oz to a 1/4oz. Fishing the wind blowen shore areas.

    Biggest fish was a dandy 26″ a 22″ and a 20″ and brought a nice limit of 8 fish home for my guest. Good day rainbow minnows worked great today but had to work the spots. Fall bite is starting to go.

    Are you guys just pitching jigs with minnows? Vertical jigging? Rip jigging? Dragging? Head up in the next week or do and would like to get on some action. Thanks for any info.

    Drifting, pitch the jig out from the boat 40ft and snap the jig and let it fall continue. I had a snag on a rock yesterday and I popped it out and a fish hit it a nice 15″ eye.
