It’s been hard to find time to get out for more than an hour or two lately but it seems like some fall patterns are starting to come together. Muskies seem to be cranking now, only got out for two hours but had some bigger fish moving. Bigger Pike seem to be in the shallows some now, I boated several in the 30″ to 32″ range and one at 36″. I got out in front of the cold last night and did okay with four ‘eyes from 20″ to 23″ in about an hour and a half. I hope to get back out this weekend after this front pushes through, it should be ON this weekend!

I’ve always said time goes TOO FAST when you’re on the water.

Thanks for the report, Fancaster. I was just up on Rainy knocking around some big pike up shallow too. #5 Mepps spinners (old school!) around cabbage did the trick on some dandy 36″ – 39″ fish.

I guess it just felt like October last night. I’m realy cool with the idea that it is still September, realy.
