first off let me say thanks for all the help and suggestions, I’m sure it’s very good info but this appears to be a tough week. I stopped in and talked to Jack and he had very similiar info, but also said that when the warm weather came back it really slowed things up. But all is not lost, after all this is a family vaca and I’m not able to put in as much time as I normally would, we did after all find some huge gills and crappies. The FW and mom have had a good time pulling these in. Here are a couple pics of my crappie and my dads nice gill.

2 more days to see if there are any eyes in here dumb enough to bite my stuff. Maybe I just can’t get used to fishing without current.

it was almost 13″, just wish I could find a few more of them. I am adding points to the GPS to hopefully use this winter if I can make it back up here.

Any luck on the perch yet. They should be starting soon. I’d take a limit of 11-13″ perch over walleye anyday. Not sure where you are staying but if near steamboat bay give the sand point area a try or try just outside the narrows heading twards the main lake. Best of luck to you out there
