The walleye bite has been tough to say the least so far, we’ve a few different things but only 1 taker, at least tomorrow is a different day. On a brighter note the bluegills up here are huge, I didn’t get any pics today but am hoping to tomorrow. If anyone has more advice or ideas for the eyes here let me know. thanks

I’ve never gone after gills on leech but I bet there’s some big ones in there. The perch bite is just around the corner…can’t wait. Eye’s in August can be tough…someone from the lake will probably chime in though.

Shoot Joel Nelson a PM on this. He was just up there a week ago and did well on the walleyes.

Tell Joel you’re the guy that helps keep the Duramax purring along so we can get from one fishing trip to another!

    Hey James!
Nice to find out you’re still hanging around here! If you don’t remember me, you may recognize these photos from about 2 yrs ago.

Almost forgot about the “frozen dock pole dance” I did that morning! Really close to being very wet and cold!
