The ice on Big Creek has become unsafe in most areas as the shoreline has thawed about 3 feet out. According to Bill at Polk City Bait House the ice on the Lost Lake area is about 3-4 inches but again the shore line has thawed. A few have ventured out on the Lost Lake area and crappies and gills are being caught but the bite is rather slow. Be careful when on the ice with the freeze and thaw that is going on with the warm weather. Good fishing.
