I haven’t been up there yet, but call the Lake Sportshop in Clear Lake and talk to Jeff, he is really good about getting any info on area lakes. The number is 641-357-7350. I heard of a few people going up there on Sunday, but I was told there was only 3″ of ice in the coves, so I don’t know if they even ventured out or not.
My cousin has been fishing Brushy quite a bit and he said that the north end has 3-4 inches of ice and the crappies are going pretty good. He has been concentration on walleyes on the south end of the lake and has been getting a couple of keeper walleyes each time out with a number of large and small mouth bass. He did get a 27″ walleye about a week ago. Most fish are coming on small jigging spoons and minnows on a bare hook. With the recent warm weather he has not been able to get out as the shore line has thawed and there is open water about from the shore to about 4 feet out.
