The catfish are starting to bite in the rivers pretty good now that the waters warming up nicely. My daughter hooked into a nice flathead the other night and we seen it as it rolled on the surface. She couldn’t turn it using a 3″ bluegill and it bent the gullet in a 3ot. stainless treble hook. Seen a 10 pound flathead caught the other night on a 6″ shad and the waters down almost to normal now so the really big ones may start hitting soon. The rivers here sure got a good gully washing this spring and the bottoms are all clean with most of the sediment setteling in the low flooded areas as the water came down.
Anybody anywhere doing any good on catfish
