Big Creek

Spent a couple of hours on Big Creek on Sunday with my 9 yerar old son and one of his friends. We caught about a dozen nice crappies with many small ones that we put back. The boys had fun and the weather was great. The crappies are in 8-12 feet of water and relating to submerged trees. The boys were using minnows on bobbers and I was casting jigs. The bigger fish were on the jigs. Take a kid fishing and brighten “your” day.

Good to hear that Big Creek is back. When that walleye class grows up we’ll really have something. Hope the DNR decides that it was a good idea to put in the predators instead of killing off the lake. I take kids fishing every chance I get. Otherwise they’ll become jetskiers.
