LAKE SUGEMA HELP NEEDED!

    any info would be much appreciated on fishing this lake. we have a little group leaving friday morning for the weekend. some have fished only for the gills, me just a rookie. looking for a crappie or greeny. i hear it’s all flooded timber. heard rumors of jigging for greenys thankyou

    3-way, I don’t know about Sugema but for crappies this time of year a jig and minnow is a solid suggestion. If it’s flooded timber, I’d say jig or slip-bobber a minnow in 10 to 15 feet of water outside of any brush piles you can find in that depth. Otherwise, look for the weedline break and jig the edges of the break (if the lake has not turned over yet). Use small jigs (1/16 or 1/32). You might try ice fishing jigs and wax worms for crappies and gills as well. Good luck!

    thank you wade for the info. we will find out tomorrow if the lake has turned over or not. now if mother nature will cooporate. should be a fun trip for 14 guys. gotta be a few blind gills somewhere……
