    Fishing below the hydro dam in Ottumwa the walleyes are starting to bite on the north shore where the current slows on the down steam side of the Market Street Bridge using 4 inch twisters and a quarter ounce jig has been working well for me

    so you been using that new pole and reel ya just bought? i’ll bet it handles those pig walleyes like a dream!

    Matt got a question for ya, are you the guy who was at Gander the other night putting on the demonstration with his new scentstick and had those 171″ sheds, hes from the Ottumwa area too, maybe you know him too? Just wondering,,,

    They were catching 20″ plus ‘eyes fairly consistently from the cat-walk when I down there over the last weekend in September. Caught lots of nice stripers (whites), too….

    Thanks for the reports guys. I’ve always wondered about the walleye fishing in Ottumwa. Not too far from Iowa City. I’ll have to get down there this fall. I wish I had a local report but the Iowa River is still raging high so I haven’t fished it for a bit. Hitting p11 or p10 tomorrow so i should have a report on sunday.
