i heard from a couple of IDA members here that yellow bass are infesting the lakes in IOWA, well i was just wondering if it is true and what is being done to the yellow bass. being a asian person i know people who will take as many yellow bass or white bass as they are able to. if there are some lakes out there that need to be cleaned of yellow bass let me know and i will come down there with a couple of friends and we will take as much as we are allowed. sounds like fun. thanks you guys.

Go to Clear Lake, IA the lake is loaded with them and they are fairly easy to catch from both shore and in a boat. There are also pretty good size fish from what I have seen. Good luck to ya!

I went to Clear lake and I loved fishing for their pests. They are a veery scrappy fish with a hard mouth. I also picked up walleye and crappies at the same time. I fished them just like I would fish for the other nasty bottom feeders like walleye

I know they were having problems with them at 12 mile lake, but i think they might have cleared them out already. There might have been another lake in Greene County, Iowa that has them bad.

I’d go to Iowa Outdoors and ask the same question, that’s a more specific Iowa site. Hope this helps.

Theres only 1 lake in Greene Co and as far as I know neve has had yellows. Lots of pesky bass and nice cats though.
