    Nailed probably 40-50 Smallies with a friend of mine, had a great time. I caught one monster going 18 1/4″, and had one bigger that broke off. The average size was probably 10″, but plenty going 13-16″.

    Nice smallie, The mequoketa is a hard river to beat, pretty too. Get any walleyes? Up river from Delhi?

    Nope, no Walleye, really puzzled as to why too. I’ve been here several times and caught no walleye. i have a similar river system back home that produces many walleye along with smallies. this was downstream from Delhi. #5 Raps were the lure of choice, although the big ones came on topwater skitter pops.
