Made a run last weekend through WestLake, 3MI, and Greenvalley looking for a few nice crappie. Thats exactley what we found, a few nice crappie.
WestLake’s loaded with little ones. Get off the bank in 18′ of water and just drag a 1″ tubebait down about 6’deep. You’ll get tired of take’n them off the hook. 3MI was tougher, picked up one here and there, but never really found them. Greenvalley seemed to have a few that were better size, had one over a pound, and collected enough for a meal.
GreenValley’s where we had our best luck but we were told it’s due to be killed off. The locals talked like next year all the limits were coming off to clean out what fish they could before they killed’em all. Anybody know if that’s true? Too bad, its got some nice bass in it with the trophy limit.
