I fished Macbride for a couple hours yesterday evening between the daily rain and wind squalls. Surface temps on the north arm were 51-52 degrees–exactly what they were a week ago.
I caught seven or eight crappies, with live bait working best. The largest was an 11″ black crappie, with a couple of 8″-ish ones as well. The rest were credit card-sized white crappie, which is the population make-up I found last fall, too. Not a great day, but with the unstable weather I wasn’t expecting anything special.
