Hey Central Iowa Anglers, Anybody got any info they’d like to share about Brushy Creek? How big are the crappies and gills this year? Are the bass on the spawn yet? Can you catch walleyes at night? I want to venture over that way, but would like some info on how fishing has been this year. Post your generic info and PM me with the good stuff. I’ll reciprocate on any waters I know.

Numbers of larger crappies (12-14″) were being caught in April. Walleyes are plentiful and on the larger size if you know where to fish. I spend most of my time in the timber, so vertical jigging or bobber fishing is the way to go. I know there has been a good bite on Smallmouth’s but I haven’t been up there for a while. Bluegills should be awesome this year as last year they were good.
