The speck spawn is on at coralville. Over 300 caught in the last 4 days. Pick a cove and fish close to bank midway back. Use clear water baits w/meat. Mostly 8″-9″ with some bigger thrown in. Water temp 65-70. Some are on wood but mostly rock now. Have fun!!

My daughter and I went down and smacked a few on MacBride. Size was poor, with most being around 8″. Should have a picture as soon as film gets developed, may take a week or two.
Situation at MacBride was a little bit different. I think the fish are pretty much wrapping up spawning, with only two having eggs in them. Fish were a little deeper, between 6 and 13 feet on submerged trees. Bass are up very shallow in less than 1′ of water.
