So i fished a small river here in NE Iowa today, and the smallies were HOT! I caught at least 35 today, and had to switch to a larger lure because the 6-10″ smallies were getting too annoying. As i was going back to the truck, i completed the day with a 18 1/4″ and a 18″ from the same pool, only three casts apart!!! Here are pics of the two.

Nice work on the sweet smallies. Can’t beat wet wading a small river or stream this time of year and having a couple bonus fish appear. What was the lure of choice?
ok give up the river i have fished all of the rivers in the true NE Iowa. 
Nice fish WW. My wife’s folks lived not too far from that river. You north or south of 20 ? I’m guessing north, I always went south.
