Headed out with my usual partner in crime, Tristan, to chase some hawgz 
We started fishing around 4-4:30ish Sat. afternoon. Water temp was hovering around 67 and the wind was out of the SW 10-15mph. The bite was non-existent to say the least !shy We caught 7 bass…all under 13″ 
Sunday morning we were on the water by 5:40am…we tried locating some active post spawners with buzz baits, even though I wasn’t to confident with the water temps we had this morning…we did manage to catch several super dinks(8″ or under) So I’m contemplating my next plan of attack and Bam!! A huge blow up on my bait……….nothing…….. 
nothing except a new confidence in finding a few active fish on a topwater !lol About 20 minutes later it happened, my bait landed 2′ from shore and as soon as I started my retrieve I saw the wake charging from the bank….slurp…..pause…..bang, game on, a nice 4lber in the boat B)
After that we caught some more dinks and a 17″er on the buzzbait and that was about it for the topwater action….so, on to the jig 
Well the jig only yeilded us a couple more fish….another 17″er and a nice 20 1/2″ greenie ….4lbs 10oz….
Had a great time with Tristan this weekend doing what we love to do…..
