I was at Belva Deer Sunday afternoon. There was some black ice showing in some spots. But I also saw were some guys had thrown boulders about the size of a basketball on the ice to check it for safety. The boulders were on the top of the ice. Saw four ice houses out near the south boat ramp. Don’t know if they were catching anything. Be careful on the north side.

Found out my brand new LX3 with factory tc upgrade doesn’t work worth a hoot. Transducer I believe. Good thing I brought the vex as a back up. Had a feeling there would be trouble after reading several thread on another site about this sort of thing.
Fish, if that’s what you were asking about. Nice gills.

Yikes, hopefully they take good care of you. Good thing you had a backup.

I’m going to hit some ponds down that way sunday afternoon I think.

Herb, how did you end up doing after we left? We ended up skipping the pond and hitting Roberts creek. Had 3-4″ of ice and absolutely hammered the specks. To bad the were shorts, lol. Did manage 15 or so worth cleaning though. Ice was going fast that afternoon.
