Hit Spirt Lake ice for the first time.
Fished North side of the lake in 15 to 18fow for a few hours on sat and sun.
On Sat. I landed a 12″ eye which was my first throuh the ice. 
Had a around a 16″ shake loose in the hole. Got a hold of his tail but my grip was not strong enough. Had a lot of lookers but couldn’t entice them to bit.
Today lost a fish that felt like a good keeper. Did manage a 15 1/2 eye. Just like Sat had a lot of looks. Should have switched up baits a lot more. The fish that I did catch came off of a jig and a minnow.
It was fun to be out and was great to get my first eye on the ice. Three more day until close get out there and get em. 
One more note I think I could have caught some of the fish that I lost if I was using a heavier pole. Was using a Light panfish pole and could not get a good hook set.
