Open water bass 1/29

    Got out yesterday for about 45 minutes of shore fishing and caught 2 bass- 1 each on a pointer 78 in ghost gill fished with a long pause over the first breakline and the other on a 3/16 oz black and blue jig with mini pork craw fished slowly over brush. Neither was much to write home about, but I cant complain with just fishing open water in january. Hopefully it wont freeze back up.

    Dr. JJ, Were you fishing the River or a pond? You know, I never did put my boat up for the winter. I could be pursuaded to venture out if we get a nice day. P.M. me, thinking about heading down to Lake Powerton in a few weeks to chase some smallies.– Rob
