Coralville Reservoir

Anybody been out lately, or have any ice updates? Can’t imagine that it is safe, but thought about giving it a try tomorrow, after seeing if it’s safe of course.

Luke, we thought about going to coralville too. I called some friends who usually fish it quite a bit and they have not been there yet this year. So we opted for Belva Deer and the fishing was pretty good. I had no idea the Bluegills were that big. Not only big but with a little sorting you can have a bucket full of big ones. I was throwing back 8 inch bluegills once I saw how big the big ones were. You will be impressed if you have never fished there. The morning bite was by far the best and then around noon they hit for about a half an hour really well. This was the second trip for me and last year we only caught a few dinks and the fishing was really slow.

Have you ever fished it in the summer?

I haven’t had any luck fishing coralville during summer. McBride is OK, but would like to try some diferent lakes.
