At least 5 inches of good ice everywhere we drilled a hole. We didn’t have to drill many as we caught the majority of our fish in two holes that were still open from the day before. We brought home 25 fish. Two were 9 inch crappies and the rest were bluegills. 2/3 of them were at least nine inches long with the largest just over 9 1/2″. We measured them and took some pics. We had two 7 inchers in the mix and they look like absolute dinks compared to the other hogs. The rest were between 8 and 9 inches. Along with 6 or so bass in the 12 to 14 inch range we had a pretty good day. Morning bite was the best. Bite really slowed down about 9 am. The afternoon bite is probably just as good but we had enough fish and were ready to leave at 1 pm. Fished from 7:30 until 1 and probably caught 45 fish between the two of us. Lots of sizes caught from 4 inches to the huge 9 1/2 inchers. Thick and healthly fish.
