We have had 5.5″ since Friday and more tonight. Maybe a couple of more inches. The Cedar River is going to swell well beyond it’s banks. This should not happen this time of year!! (Although it does!) It will be a few weeks before the river is ready to fish again. Geezzzz 
I hear you on the rain going away. Live just north of cedar falls we had over 7 inchs in our rain gauges. It has been hitting us hard lately. It was really needed though.

. The Racoon is a mile wide….there are 2 deer stranded on an “island” formed by the high water in the park in Sac City. I know they would rather be elsewhere !
Please keep that heavy rain away from the Dubuque area and points to the north. We have been lucky to miss out on most of the real heavy rain here in the city of DBQ. I did get about an inch and a half on Saturday night but that was the first substantial rain we have had in almost 2 weeks. The lawns here in town were turning brown. The river is slowly dropping and as long as there isn’t a ton of rain to the north of here it should continue it’s slow drop. Most of the storms have been dying out by the time they get over to the river which is just fine with me. The fishing is so-so right now but it should pick-up as the water drops. If you think it is high now it was 4 feet higher this time last year.

Here we go again. Big rains coming from the west(as of 9:00p.m. Wed). Looks like a gully washer on its way. The Cedar is projected to crest 2 ft. above flood stage in Waterloo. Tonight should really help things—NOT! Looking foward to a dry period of a few days. In the meantime..call us UNDERWaterloo.
