Today I went out on an 18 acre lake and the bass are building beds. Water temp was 68-69 in places. Made for a fun day as far as numbers go. I caught at least 60 bass in 3 hours (lost count) and both thumbs were bleeding. Odd thing is everything i read says the big ones often come up to spawn 1st but I never saw or hooked anything over 4 lbs. They were spanking a spinnerbait near the shore/weeds/cover. I did probe the depths outside the traditional spawning ares but couldnt hook the big one. I caught 3 large (9-11″) bluegill- 2 on a 5/16 oz spinnerbait and one on a dt 6 bluegill color. Not sure what effect this cold front will have on them. Next full moon cycle could be a fun one if the weather ever straightens out.
