I took the rod-building course last year, and I feel a word of caution is indicated… it damn near ruined my life. Understand a few things- 1) after taking the course you will never buy another rod in your life- you will build your own, and more importantly, 2) sadly, rod-building is truely addicting, and I am afraid that there is no known cure. 
So go ahead- please sign up- the more rod-building addicts we have in Iowa, the sooner I can get a self-help group up and running for rod-building addicts such as myself….
