Made the run down to Pleasant Creek on Sat morning, hoping to set the hooks on a musky…didn’t happen. Started around 9 or 9:30 on the west end along the old road bed, casted mostly large jerkbaits and also large cranks. Moved over to the points along the south shoreline, still nothing. Next moved over to the dam rip rap area, thought it would be good with waves pounding it hard, but not so for me. Next tried the points along the beach, still nothing. Wife showed up at noon and jumped in to fish. Kind of backtracked and hit the same spots again with nothing to show. Finished up in a bay on the north end with alot of stumps in it…nothing. Managed to catch 4 bass throughout the day on various smaller baits, huskys, rougues, and mepps spinners, but no musky. It was a fun day and I had forgotten how beautiful of a place this lake is and very peaceful also. I talked to some guys that fish it regularly and all were having a bad day, but commented that there were lots of musky in the lake and they had caught several this year. A fun day none the less!!!
