With the river at flood stage and my wife wanting to head to the in-laws i will be heading over to PC in the am for some bass. Anybody been out lately? Post spawn pattern? I havent been there in 2 years and just want to go out and catch some, some any tips would be nice. If you see a white triton tr 20 with an evinrude and a clueless looking guy that would be me. Thanks in advance.

Well, i got really lucky/fortunate yesterday out there. I fished for awhile and saw another white triton with none other than JC at the helm. He took me under his wing for a little “separate boat fishing lesson” and i learned a ton from watching him work and talking for a few hours. He was very generous with discussions on forage and bass as well as techniques out there and in general. Thanks JC, appreciate it very much!

Oh yeah, forgot about the funny part- we were fishing a point and he pulls 2 nice walleye into the boat and we both caught some bass and by the time we were 50 yards down the shore there were 4 boats already on that point.

You all should have played bumperboats on sunday as well. the slight wind and overcast skies really had the fish fired up. They were chasing all day. We boated 50ish with many 2-3lb bass being caught. I love watching the bank pounders pulling 6″ bass from the weeds while I am pulling ma and pa from the depths.

Got out today for about 4 hrs with my brother and his future step-son. We caught about a dozen bass with the largest being 3 lbs. Started off the day with the 10 year old catching a walleye that went 6 or 7 lbs . He caught him on the 4th cast of the day, talk about an exited little boy. He talked about the rest of the time, especially since he outfished future dad. I had the pleasure of hooking in and landing (sort of, took him off with pliers at the side of the boat) a 12-15 lb tiger muskie . What a blast, about a 5 min. fight. The fish I caught on plastic were just inhaling the bait, had to cut the line on one.
