Went out Thursday night not a single bite, out again Friday morn and my son caught his first sturgeon, he was excited but didn’t want to hold it for pic. We used sudden impact and Sonny’s, I threw plastics and crankbait and ended up losing my fave color for the cause Everyone was out fishing yesterday..hard to find a spot. Saw a carp caught and that’s about it. Spring is finally Here!!

Sounds like some good time spent with the boy.
Its funny how sharp those plates are on the small sturgeon.
Just remember, you can never lose your favorite bait if you never get out to use it. Its a small price to pay for the enjoyment.

Glad to see you get a little action! We got out on the Des Moines today, only managed a few huge buffalo and a channel. Water was high and dirty.

We were fortunate this baby sturgeon didn’t flop all over like a catfish, or felt the sharp plates. It was nice to get out with my son, I’m conditioning him to stay out longer than 2hrs, that’s about all he can take.4hrs is minimum for mama.
