Well my dad and I headed out to PC w/ hearts set on muskies. We checked the weather before we left and everything looked good, so away we went.Got down there and noticed a temp. change and wind change. After ahalf an hour of fishing I started to hear rumbling and see clouds blowing our way, then the wind shifted blowing into the clouds and picked up speed. All we were thinking is alright , who cares if we get wet. Then we got a call from my sis back home, saying something about tornados coming our way the weather screen was purple.
We decided it was better safe then sorry, so we headed in.Right when we get loaded up the lighting started, we waited ten min. then took off and as we pulled away the sirens blared from a near by town. Side note there were all kinds of rosters out in the open just standing there like they were watching the whole thing.
Anyways long trip home had to pull over a couple times w/vis less then 100yds(rain & pea size hail) at times and funnel clouds reported all around us.Praying all the way we made it though the purple and red stuff home safe and sound.
It seems if we go after skies there is a 50/50 chance of tornados being reported close to us.So next time we are going BASS fishing w/ big baits .

It’s that time of year again isn’t it.

I know I’m plugging Jolly Ann Marine again….but…he has marine band radios with weather alerts built in…which is what I use mine for (mostly). Or Radio Shack has some portable ones for around $20.

If it wouldn’t have been for your sister watching out for you…well have you thanked her yet?
