    This board is too quiet!

    And it’s partly my fault
Work has kept me off the water most of the month, but Little B has been fishing some IA. water.
Here is the quick run down on what he found:
Union Grove Lake, plenty of crappies…but small
Hawthorne, also plenty of crappies..also small
Backbone Park, Trout on small plastics….some nice ones

    How are you doing?

I’m catching all sorts of nothing up here…i think the lack of equipment is part of the problem. What’s this work excuse i’m hearing…you can skip work to fish, i give you permission.

Talked to some guys who hit Red Rock after turkey hunting yesterday, said they cuaght some fish, weren’t too specific on how deep the crappies were, but I don’t think the changes in weather were as drastic further south as they were up in our neck of the woods. Anybody doing okay on your end of the Cedar Eye-Full?

Thanks Little B, w/ the recent rain the water has come up and muddy. Before then there were some smallies being caught esp. around Gilbertville and of course cat. I picked up some small eyes the last week in April on a mepps in the state park area. Caught some crappie and gills today at South praire lake, nothing to big though.Going to try to make it to PC or Red Rock later in the week, well Good fishing to everyone.
