I took James’ advice and a few others but still could not get the fish to bite. The water temp dropped 6 degrees while we were there and the wind was almost non stop, made for tough fishing. I was not alone having issues but it was because I was not able to adapt to the conditions. I did talk to some that were catching fish but everything that I tried they did not like, largest eye I was able to boat went 23, which would have been fine but the numbers were not there. I noticed a lot of people heading to the west side of the lake looking for warmer water, when we left water temp was 59 on the east side. It was difficult to keep away from the striped bass and I did catch a few 10lb. northerns which was fun. It was still a good trip with the family but now I want to get back out there and catch some eyes, not sure there will be enough time to get back out there
tough week
