Imagine – waking up in upper mid North Dakota to wind… Growing up 120 miles east of here I came to expect wind every day it wasn’t IF it would blow it was how hard. Well back to the good stuff – that’d be fishing…. Karen and I were interested in seeing some cork disappear so we headed north across some fairly chopping water. (Thank God for gortex) First pic is the largest walleye that crossed the tape at 20 inches. Rather plump but didn’t drop it on the scale. I’d guess in the 3 lb range. Next pic is table fare for tonight and breakfast. Yum fresh walleye w/onion, cheesy hash browns, sunny side up eggs, wheat toast, V8 and fresh coffee….
Biggest northern pushed 36″ and one monster white bass.
Fun trip – if you want a private place that is clean, affordable and owned by great people give Maria or John a call from Lakeview Lodge. Fish can be found right out front of their private landing.
