According to information in the Benson County Farmers Press – On July 10 two more groups of alleged poachers were caught with white bass exceeding the limit on Devils Lake.
The first group was caught near the same spot as the group on July 1, the Minnewaukan south boat ramp. Chong Lor, 38 and Pao Lor, 37 of Taylors Falls MN and a juvenile were charged with having 482 white bass or 272 over the limit. Their fish coolers and fishing equipment was also confiscated.
The second incident later that day when two more individuals were apprehended by authorities while fishing on the north end of Creel Bay on ND Higway 19 near the dike by the city of Devils Lake.
Chu Vang, 59 and Mai Vang, 57 of Minnesota (no town given) were charged with having 261 white bass in their possesion. They too had their fishing coolers and equipment confiscated.
All of the confiscated fish were donated to local charities.
The court dates are August 9.
