Can anyone give me information on how to replace front livewell pump on this bassboat. I believe I have a leak in one of the hoses or pump itself.

If i remember correctly, the SS is the Fish/Ski model with the forward livewell at the beginning of the deck. If so, the pump should be at the transom under the oil tank and has the hose running up under the floor. Hose won’t be easy to replace

Yep at the transom. The oil tank is to the right of fuel tank on the ss at least on mine. Gottaa be a contortionist to get at the pump. Found it easier to take fuel tank out also nice to give the area a good cleaning.

What year is your dyna-trac? Mine is a 1987. Still solid but needs a good detailing and motor replacement. Just love fishing out of that boat!

I have a 1988 model. Yup the front live well is on the left. The live well pump is new and the diverter valve is new and operational. I have a 4″ inch access that is has screw type removable type. I plan to install a water tight access lid at the most front part of the boat so I will be able to have a better access point from there to change out hose/clamps etc. I’m studying it right now. You are correct…..the hose runs from the back of the boat and pump forward to the live well. This is why I plan to install the ACCESS LID, hopefully this will give me access to the hose of at least to assess what the heck is leaking. I’m sure it is the front live well because I shut off the valve that fills the live well up temporarily and also closed off the front live well valve at the back of the boat at the control panel for the live wells. From other people that have had this similar problem, I was advised to clamp the old hose on to the new one and pull it through the length of the boat and that should take care of replacing it. The hoses are 29 years old, and I’m sure need replacing. Wish me luck, cause I’m going to need it. Hopefully the hoses won’t break while pulling them from one end of the boat to the other.

Randy, do you know if the hose that goes to the front live well has any ties holding the hose in place or can it be pulled out hand attach a thread rope to the rear so the new hose can be pulled through?
