    Weather.

Next week looks to be a scorcher after about Tuesday. I really don’t do heat well and to top it off it’s suppose to be humid also. I actually feel sorry for those folks in Arizona…not real sorry but kinda sorry. laugh 90’s for lows at night are something I would never like to experience.

Yep, from about Tues – Fri it looks nasty. Heat indexes will be 100 or warmer. Our drought is definitely gonna get worse. flame

Pulling out at 8:00am Wednesday for a 5 night outing on Round Lake in Hayward. The tritoon is ready and the coolers and float rafts are going to get worked extremely hard. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend days with 100 degree heat indexes than a crystal clear lake (with water access bar) just a half mile ride away

ever since early April, every system that made its way at Roch has parted like the red sea as it approaches. i have seen 95% chance of rain turn to nothing and today a 0% chance turn to a downpour as i decided to hit the local Rez here in SE MN.
forecasts have been waaaaaaaay off this year it seems

I feel you there. I’ll be cutting holes for you guys. Nothing worse then cutting concrete when it’s a 100 degrees out. I also have a side gig I’m trying to push off putting a new steel roof on a barn. Hoping the farmer will work with us and let it go another week

This is exactly what has happened with virtually every system that might have brought rain.

I wish the weather stations just stopped with rain predictions. All they need say is that it’s going to be really warm, maybe some wind, and rain is as good a guess as the next guy’s. 30 second forecast. Done and goodnight.

The future isn’t looking good for anyone that doesn’t do well in the heat.

This reminded me of my chat with an HVAC tech on Maui. He fixed/cleaned our AC unit and got it just a humming. I said, being in HVAC in a tropical setting, has to be one of the better gigs on the island..no ? He said, well it depends… do we always have work, yes, is it ideal conditions, No. He went on to explain when they are called its 100+, the AC hasn’t worked for awhile. The minute they get it working, they leave and go to the next oven… crazy doah yeah, not for me.

Good reminder, I have a couple cases of Gatorade in the fridge at the shop for the techs and hand them one as I’m checking on them.

Our AC took a crap a few weeks ago. I did not realize how nice having central AC is till then. New once is getting installed on Thur. Feel a little bad for the install tech, but really looking forward to having AC back. Just got to survive 3 HOT days before then. Lots of bedding laundry being done after getting up each more in a sweat soaked bed. The ceiling fans help some, but not a ton. To think I grew up my whole life as a child without any AC. Don’t recall it being bad at all back then. I must be just getting soft in my old age. grin

For when it gets this hot I set up a twin bed in the basement. When the AC is running its 7 degrees cooler than the upstairs bedroom. Actually need a light blanket.

CaptainMusky – Is that the farm on 55th Ave out near Upper Deck Bar and Grill? If so I need to make a run out there. They have the best sweetcorn each year.

YES! it is so dang good! The farmer just south of him seems to get some people who unknowingly stop at his place when the signs go up and he is selling corn, but his is not as good. I know its a relative of his though.

Ha, I do that too and go sleep in the guest bedroom downstairs.
