Stay…but allow me to comment (even though I’m a rare participant in IDO). I prefer to watch the drama from the sidelines mostly because I have far more questions than experience. Rather than throw yourself on the chopping block Dutch, can IDO members instead nominate a member for expulsion? Of course I cannot think of anyone on here at the moment who acts childish, is offensive to most and basically tries to pick fights like a 2nd grade bully. If there were a member that fit that criteria, it’s too bad they couldn’t be put up to a vote for extermination…

I think that guy in the other thread is a Chinese bot or a burner account created to troll. It says “inactive” under his name.

I think the moderators may have “touched base” with him/it.

Maybe it’s like an IDO “Let’s go Brandon” thing…..

Or we’re just happy to proclaim ourselves proud RAM owners. peace jester

I think the Ram thread proves IDO members can handle trollers pretty well. Wanna troll this site you better bring your “A” game as there are some guys who will bite you if you don’t.

The upside is i’m sure he’ll take another run at it under another name.

Meanwhile I couldn’t even get an answer to an actual truck question I asked twice in the thread

To answer your question, yes you can still find column shifters but have to have a “pass through” center council like with a 3rd seat in the middle. More common on work packages (Ford XL). I think Tahoes and Yukons might have actually brought them back in 2025 as well.

Interesting. Thank you for the one and only answer. That would be kind of wild if Yukons/tahoes brought them back while pickup trucks are not.

There’s no way Dutch boy thought people actually wanted him gone based of what one “new guy” buffoon said. He knows most people around here like and respect him and know how long he’s been around… Although Dutch is often known for discrete “trolling” threads, this one seemed more like “fishing”… whistling

Labdaddy curious why you are inquiring about column shifter? Is that a deal breaker for you? They are all electronically controlled regardless of where you are shifting from whether it be a dial, column or console.

My 2015 RAM has the dial and I’d rather have a column shifter. The dial just doesn’t feel like truck stuff. More like I’m driving a bmw or something. Given the choice I’d pick column.
