I wish Budweiser would get back to making good commercials. They never have made a good beer but their commercials were very good for years.I agree. Bud Light, Doritos, and Pepsi also had some decent ones in the past. Seems like the commercials lately are just bad, and I never really watched it for that reason anyways.
They’ve been pretty horrible thus far.
Heard the hype about Doritos taking advantage of the whole ufo/uap situation so was looking forward to that, as they and snickers usually have some of the best. Welp, just saw it last commercial break and it was a total dud IMO… They biffed it on a very unique opportunity!
February 9, 2025 at 6:53 pm #2316365KC being dominated right now. That Philly D-line is shredding them.
February 9, 2025 at 7:16 pm #2316367yep……KC is self destructing……like the refs are from Philly!!!!!!
i thought the best commercial so far was the bud commercial with the small horse rolling the keg into the bar.
but i see what you did there Joe!!!!!

Yep, not impressed. Football game is not competitive either. Halftime show usually sucks. Not much to see here anymore.

with Mahomes and the Chiefs i wouldnt count them out just yet……hope not but…….
February 9, 2025 at 8:26 pm #2316387Philly’s D has MaHomes flustered. He is dancing worrying about getting sacked—–again.
February 9, 2025 at 9:44 pm #2316398Outside of QB and TE, there wasn’t a position group on the entire KC roster I’d take over any of the Eagles. That’s a talented, deep roster. Kudos to them.
I stuck with the same routine as every SB…turning it on about 3 minutes before kickoff not days or hours in advance for the same old talking points. Halftime I focused on refilling my drink in the garage and finishing up the winch on the wheeler. It’s always interesting to hear people pi$$ and moan about the halftime show. If you’re not a hip hop enthusiast, what exactly do you expect to enjoy? If it isn’t classic rock or some form of 80s/90s music I use the time to do something else, which is almost every year.
February 9, 2025 at 9:47 pm #2316399Well, Saquon was mostly held in check. But I wasn’t off on the score by much.
Nice to see Mahomes pouting.
I’ll predict now that the Chiefs will not make the Superbowl next year.Ripjiggen

Looks like the fire the coach crowd before the season might have been quieted.Ripjiggen

Ha, yeah I was thinking that too. One of the very few decent ones.
Man those eagles are not to be taken lightly.
February 10, 2025 at 5:11 am #2316426We watched part of the game last night but spent most the evening doing other things. Sure glad the chiefs got destroyed, and all the football know it alls I know also couldn’t have been further wrong so that is also a good knee slapper.

Posts: 2878February 10, 2025 at 7:38 am #2316431As much as I can’t stand some of the Eagles teams of the past and a good chunk of their fan base… There’s nothing but good stories and seemingly really good people on their roster and coaching staff. Hurts and Barkley are incredibly humble, well-spoken and all-around decent role models. Some great up-and-comers like Lajean, and Nick Siriani’s a dang likeable guy in my opinion. Glad to see no 3-peat. Chiefs were starting to believe their own headlines and clearly weren’t prepared. Eagles deserved that win 100%!

Posts: 591February 10, 2025 at 7:51 am #2316433I had a feeling all week that the eagles would win a blow out. I had a feeling they were going to control the line of scrimmage but I never imagined they would win by this score. I predicated 14 points. Was impressed how the chiefs shut down the run game. Great teaching point to my son about how you win a football game is by winning the line of scrimmage.
February 10, 2025 at 7:58 am #2316437Early odds to win Super Bowl 60:
Chiefs, Ravens 6-1
Bills, Lions, Eagles 7-1
Niners 14-1
Bengals 16-1Everyone else is at least 20-1
Raiders, Titans, Giants are last at 250-1

The Eagles front office deserves a ton of credit for the team they have built and the way they built it.
In 2020 they drafted Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round when they had a starter in Carson Wentz. Wentz wasn’t exactly the same after his knee injury but was still the starter at the time, that was a calculated move/gamble to draft another solid QB and it paid off very well.
A few years ago Jalen Carter was projected as a top-3 pick but was an accessory to a bit of trouble and “fell” (relatively speaking) to the Eagles at #9. So they got possibly the top D-lineman of the draft at #9 and Carter has been a force since then.
AJ Brown wanted out of Tennesse and the Eagles executed a trade (giving up a 1st-rounder I believe) to get a very solid franchise WR.
Cooper DeJean showed some promise as a NFL CB and the Eagles hit on him in the draft. The guy has a great future ahead of him and for some reason I love the concept of a good CB returning punts.
Then there’s the Saquon Barkley situation. This one is crazy to me because he’s probably the best, most versatile all-around RB threat in the league and any team could have signed him (obviously, that’s how free agency works).
So in just four examples there you can see how the Eagles built some parts of their team through good drafting of quality future contributors, executing trades that returned positive value, and pulling the trigger on a major free agent signing. And it’s crazy to think, as we all know, that this team could have Justin Jefferson if they hadn’t drafted Jalen Raegor over him. I just continue to be amazed at how well this team was assembled.
And to beat a dead horse we’ve all went around on…yes, the Vikings had a pretty epic free agent offseason last year. I firmly believe you have to include all the GM decisions, not just signings, and that includes letting Cousins and Danielle Hunter go, and using that money for the many free agent contributors they got. Still, imagine if the Vikes had 2, just 2, contributors from each of the past 3 years of drafts on this team. Addison is the outlier, and JJ McCarthy and Dallas Turner have hopes but are unknown. I love how much ground they’ve covered with free agents and they should be able to do that again this offseason, but that builds an expensive and somewhat older team that isn’t sustainable beyond 2-3 years or so. The Vikes need to start hitting at a high rate on what little draft capital they have.

February 10, 2025 at 8:44 am #2316449The Chiefs are always going to be a force with Mahomes, but they are going to have to start retooling some of that roster. If you aren’t moving “forward” with young contributing pieces in the NFL you quickly get left behind.
Kelce still has that “it” factor or knowing when to settle into soft spots in the zone and such…but he’s far from the player he was 3-4 years ago. I don’t foresee him taking over games like he used to.
Pachecho runs angry and hard, but it will be interesting to see what his ceiling is going forward after that injury. The fact that Kareem Hunt off the couch somewhere could still eat into that many of his touches is very telling.
Deandre Hopkins flashed his hands on a couple of his catches, but he’s no threat to run by anyone anymore in this league unless it’s to Bingo at the nursing home. They have Crashee Rice coming off a knee who was looking decent before his injury and offseason stupidity, but we will see.
Their offensive line was completely exposed yesterday. At one point in the 3rd quarter the Eagles had yet to blitz even once, despite Mahomes having the highest % of pressures faced he had ever had in his career through 3 quarters. That rotation up front ate the Chiefs offensive line.
February 10, 2025 at 8:50 am #2316450I have a much better opinion regarding Sam Darnold after watching that game. Even Superman mahomes could do nothing with those big D men crashing around him. Don’t know if keep him or not but could still turn out to be a really good qb with better protection
