bullcans,if you cant make it act up consistently,ie,every time you trim down which would make one think its an electrical problem at the throttle control or a loose wire somewhere.
try removing the primer bulb and replacing it with short piece of pipe or tubing,sometimes when they age the check balls can get sucked tight enough into the line they will shut the fuel off to the motor and you wont get an alarm.
also check the fuel hose coming from the tank,it can swell right at the fitting and the pump is strong enough to collapse it there shutting off the fuel.
we are starting to see more and more fuel line and primer bulb problems as these things get older.
I know we talked about an electrical issue a month ago,if checking the fuel lines doesnt reveal anything send me a pm,I may just have to come to northern Iowa to get some fishing time in with you.
