    French Lake Near Faribault.

Would be great if the DNR would dig out the access and while they’re at it, cut a channel into the first break, and do something to keep it from blowing all the sand back in?

Darn nice lake – wish the access was much more user friendly.

On the plus side – the limited access should help the fishery until this winter.

Is it manageable for a 16 ft trimmed up or does a guy not waste his time? Do they have a dock at the public access? Want to fish it in a boat this year but is it worth the hassle and lower end.

Pretty sure bunks or rollers – your pushing it off the trailer and unless you don’t care about your impellar working you’ll be winching on too.

Rear diff will definitely be underwater to accomplish the above.

    This goes for Hoys too.

I used Hoys a few weeks ago thinking it’d be easier – Oh golly is that shallow.

Just wish we could make a good access on that lake.

For the amount of use that access gets they could definitely justify upgrading that access. During low water times I have avoided that lake because of the shallow access. I think they should also add parking to the access also. It really is a shame because it is a quality body of water for southern mn…

Any updates on the water level at the landing? Haven’t been down in that area in awhile. Thinking it should be back up?
