The Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center in partnership with the National Park Service, the City of Hastings, Krugerfarms and In Depth Outdoors is hosting a Free Family Ice Fishing event on Saturday January 27th from 9AM – Noon.

The event will have fishing poles to use for participants.

We will have some underwater camera’s for the kids and assistance on tying knots, and rigging equipment.

This is a great way for families to try ice fishing at no cost.

    Hope to see you there.

It is your dyslexia kicking in. The fishing events are free, but you had to pay for Storytelling on January 12th. Make sense?? tongue

Here’s a bit of an update for tomorrows event.

·The Hastings Park Service plowed the parking lot, path to the lake and the pier

    · We have 1 ADA accessible bathroom being delivered

    · We are bringing down 2 garbage and recycling containers

    · Our Facebook event has been updated with weather and reminder to wear boots, etc.

    · HCTV may be in attendance at the event

    · Hastings Star Gazette may be coming down to take photos

    · KDWA may be coming down to do on-site interviews with participants

The weather looks beautiful and favorable for the event tomorrow!

As a reminder, fishing poles, bait and help is provided.
A fishing license is NOT required.
This is catch and release only if you do not possess a fishing license.

I will be live streaming to my FaceBook page assuming there’s a good internet connection.
