Looking for info on the frabill recruit. I sat in one the other day and you could see a lot of day light pin holes in the stitching. How does then fabric hold up on these things or is it junk like my frabill ambush.

They are absolute garbage. At that price point that’s what about what you’re going to find. I would compare that fabric to a tarp. The Clam Kenai is twice the flip over for about 50$ more.

I’ve had my Recruit for two years now with zero problems. More fishable room than any other one-man shack except Shapell. Just wish it had a bit more head room. Yes there are a lot of seam holes, but no more than many of the earlier versions of thermal shacks. Would I buy another? Probably not. Too heavy for my use as a flip-over.

I’ll beg to differ on that…My kenai canvas was the worst I’ve ever seen right out of the box and Clam didn’t want anything to do with it…Pinholes, missing stitching, you name it…

Maybe I got lucky. My fabric was great out of the box and has done well since I bought it this year.
