Frabill I2 Bibs ?

Need a new pair of Bibs and with the closeout stuff out now are these any good for $65?
I fish inside my Otter most of the time but will use them to take the kids to the sledding hill or just walking early ice.

I have the older Grey Frabill bibs, which are essentially the old model I2 and they are great for the price. I tend to wear my ‘I2’ bibs and a heavier coat, however. The I2 coats are minimally insulated but work good for weather above 15 degrees.

I would go with the i3 for just a few dollars more and you get Thinsulate insulation

I don’t do any ice fishing but have the I2 bibs and love them for early and late season open water fishing for sturgeon.

I have them and they work great, I ice fish outside a lot, a pair of sweatpants underneath and you are good to go in most conditions.

I debated this exactly on the i2’s earlier this year also glad I spent the extra for the i3’s for the added insulation great bib

I prefer the uninsulated myself. I feel more uncomfortable when I am too warm vs. a little cold. Add some good long johns and you are good outside in all but the coldest weather.

I have the I2 bibs. It would depend on what conditions you fish in, but I’ll tell you — the I3s may make you too warm. Over on another site, it has been debated quite a bit. A decent pair of long underwear and sweats with the I2, and you should be good in the low to mid teens……

Can anyone clarify that the field supply website is legit? Seems too good to be true.

How is the i2 stuff in drenching rain? They look to be better suited for snow/slush.

I’m in the market for some early/late season rain gear.
