Frabill I-series

Got a pair of striker guardian bibs for xmas this year and just not as impressed with them as I am with the predators I own. Doesn’t seem to be much difference in insulation between the two to justify owning both and the guardians just flat out look poorly constructed. crappy zippers, thinner shell, no pockets near the chest!

So I am considering exchanging them for a pair of the frabill 1-2 bibs. The main reason I wanted a new pair of bibs was for something between my rain bibs and my striker predator bibs. Basically something that would’ve been great to have during the 2-3 weeks of 30+ temps we had in december.

So my question is, who has some feedback to give on the I-series bibs that has used them? I’m a little cautious of getting another pair of Frabill bibs as my last pair, the black “ice” suit, ripped right up the seam after 1 season of use.

I just picked up the I-2 bibs, so far they seem perfect what i plan on using them for. The main reason i picked these up over the other suits out there (Ice Armour, Stryker, HT Polar Fire, Strikemaster, etc) was because they are the lightest weight ones i could find. I get too warm in other suits and these are something i feel i can use as rain gear in the early summer and fall. All you really need is something that is waterproof and wind proof to stay warm. These do the trick on both fronts, plus they have the padded knees and butt for extra durability. The sleeve design was much better as well-nice extra long elastic cuff like a hooded sweatshirt would have. This is important when ripping across the lake on a wheeler or in windy situations-keeps the cold out. I plan on using them on P2 when it opens back up in Feb/March.
