Found – SportDog SDT00 remote for electronic collar

I found a remote for a SportDog electronic collar in the Mankato area on Tuesday night (10/17/2017). If you can tell me where you were hunting I can see if it was in the area of where I found the remote. Would love to get it back to the right person who lost it. Seems it was maybe laying on the top of a car or truck and then the person drove off. May have stayed on a while as I found it on a tar road close to a town.

I got excited when I saw the post, I somehow managed to lose the screw-in antenna on mine…but not the whole thing and not near Mankato…

Funny I just pulled out my Sport Dog yesterday and found the battery had exploded in the remote. Bought at Sportsman’s Warehouse which tells you how old it is. Got my money’s worth out of it! Called Sport Dog and they sold me a heavily discounted new unit for being a customer. New improved model and everything and STILL cheaper than I paid for the original umpteen years ago! That company is good people.

you may want to call sportdog,give them the serial number and see if the owner registered it for warranty.
if the owner did register it,sportdog can call the owner for you and let them know you have it.

the folks at sportdog are great people,I bought a new four hundred model from just before pheasant opener here several years back,the batteries were bad out of the box.
I called them and they contacted the seller letting me know that I could trade it in for another one,problem was it had bad batteries as well.
evidently they had sat on the shelf at our local farm store for too long.

another call in to sportdog,I was a bit upset as my friends from Wis. were only going to be here for another two days and I was without a collar for my GSP.
they overnighted a new pro sport 800 !! that unit was almost two hundred more than the one I had bought and had twice the range.
I got a phone call from them asking if I had received it yet and they apologized for the trouble of the first two.

great folks that stepped up to take care of an issue that I feel was not their fault.
I blame the farm store for not checking dates and rotating stock like they should have.

Good idea iowaboy1. I contacted SportDog this morning by email and will see if they get back to me.

I hope you find the owner! That would suck, but it would give the owner the opportunity to step up to a Dogtra collar.

SportDog does not have any record of this unit except when it was made. No registration information.
