Found BK's Buddy

15lb carp with a lamprey attached to its head. I pulled it off with some pliers before I boated the fish.

As I was pulling it off, it squealed and said “BK lied, he screamed out load when I was in his boat!”

Also boated 47″ and 41″ sturgeons.
Holy cow is that ever a rush and I can’t wait to hook a 5 footer! I now understand why you guys advise people to use proper equipment. I have 7′ medium heavy rods with 6500C3 reels spooled with 80lb braid, this setup seemed to work great.

Busted by a big mouth lamprey.

I had another one last night. Thought if I would wait long enough SOMEONE in the boat would pick it up…not.

There are days when I feel just like that carp.
