Foster trout

    Sending the kid out to fish for some trout on Foster. I’ve heard dough on a hook works. Any other suggestions for ice fishing other than calling the farm to find out when they stock it?

    I’ve had great luck with conventional bait like minnows or wax worms on spoons and panfish jigs. I suggest not messing with dough balls.

    never fish more than 6 feet under the ice. some days they want minnows, some days they want waxies, others they want trout bait…..you just never know. If I dont have minnows I jig a 1/16 oz spoon in one hole and trout bait on set line in the other hole.
