I’m hoping someone on this site has fished Fort Peck and would be willing to share their experiences & advice.
Never been to Montana but this lake is on my bucket list. My initial web searches on this lake indicate that fishing is very, very good on a wide variety of species and long drives to boat launches is the norm. Lodges or fishing camps seem to be more for people to camp.

I’d call Scott at Fort Peck Marina. That is who James fished with. He’s a great source of knowledge in that area. He was real helpful when we were thinking of a trip out there a few years ago. Still on my bucket list as well. It may be worth it to see if you could get a guide trip with Scott set up. It would probably really shorten your learning curve a lot.
