Got the green light to plan a ice fishing trip to Fort Peck. We would like to target mostly walleyes. I’m hoping the IDO staff or community can recommend a guide and lodging. Thank You.

Not walleyes, but might be worth a try. Contact info in the video description.

Same. Especially because Superior just won’t cooperate and freeze nicely.

Good luck having anyone call you back from out there.
How many messages does a guy gotta leave before somebody will call you back.
Maybe I’m just not leaving enough messages flame

Guides I have worked with were not so good in that dept. either, they tend to not like that end of their business. This is not to say the ones I have worked with did not give me good customer service, every guide was awesome and did whatever they could for you IN PERSON.

If it were me I’d give myself 5 days of fishing and try and tackle it myself, load up the snowmobile pick up some paddle tails, jig heads, tubes, and slap on some braid to a heavy floro leader

    It’s really not rocket science… honestly !!
But this was open water and not ice fishing

Its not all that easy in winter one has to be very aware of methane gas pockets that can let your sled or wheeler through the ice. travel in groups and I should mention they have a little wind out there. Having said that look at the weather for next week out there, its gonna be nice for a week or so.

I just watched the IDO episode from last season where James smacks giant walleyes. He was fishing with Scott at Ft. peck Marina. I’d imagine IDO guys would tell you to start there. That was an open water episode, though.

After that, and the Superior Angling Laker, episode I think it’s safe to say I see myself making a trip out there in the next year or two.

    I did. cry

There is plenty of fishable ice in the chequamegon bay area if you’re looking to get out on the gitch

Thank you for the responses, unfortunately it didn’t work out this year. I need more time to plan that trip so hoping to go next year
