The screen time thing is terrible. My kids dont get that when im home unless maybe if its raining out. A few winters ago my kids were on channel 9 news making snow angels with one of their cute chick reporters. They said my kids were the first kids the seen outside on their way back from Mankato on a snowday. Third town they had been in. My 10 year old stepson wants to mow but I like having a cold one on the John Deere and dont feel comfy giving him the weed whip yet.

The resturant thing drives me nuts with kids not behaving. Even worse at a funeral a few weeks back there was probably 4-7 year olds playing on phones and tablets. You really cant get your kids to sit still and shutup for 45 minutes at their great grandmas funeral.

I literally went to my Grandmother’s funeral in late July and saw this myself there too. Some great grandkids that couldn’t sit still or be quiet for 40 minutes. Unreal.

Its obviously lazy parents and the fact that you cant even look at your kid with a stern eye anymore without being threatened with child abuse.

If its gonna be an issue at a freaking funeral then don’t bring them. At least show some respect for an old 97 year old lady that just died for crying out loud.

We milked cows and farmed when my daughter was in high school. Basically her job was school get good grades and could slide around the farm, bad grades your up in the morning and out in the barn, same in the evening. We kind of used a sliding scale As got by if grades dropped work increased. Smart kid got straight As all thru high school went on and got her Masters.

Raising kids, successfully, gotta be one of the most demanding jobs, ever.

Looking back now with 4 tax paying adult children….. not sure how we survived, LOL! Good thing they bring grandchildren. Easy to forget the silly spats over home duties.

Give them the respect you enjoy in life and the rest will work itself out.
